Heron Hill (above) rests majestically atop a 60' ocean bluff on Eleuthera Island.  It overlooks Poponi Beach (right) which is absolutely magnificent.  The site is a beautiful 5-acre landscaped palm, bromeliad, and tropical flower estate.  Steps lead down to a pink sand beach where you can fish from the shore, snorkel, swim, sunbathe or investigate the coral reefs which lie directly in front of the house.

The unique beauty and ever-changing colors of the sea and sky can be seen from every room of the grand 10-room house (see floor plan below).  Originally built in 1959 for a British family, during a time when the Bahamas were under British rule, Heron Hill has been completely modernized to enhance your stay. The house and apartment contain all the amenities that you expect from a luxurious villa, including central air conditioning and king-sized beds.

The gourmet kitchen has been completely renovated with all new appliances, including a large microwave and computerized oven, to allow easy preparation for everything from a simple snack to a magnificent feast.

The architect responsible for the remodeling has accentuated the unique design of the house, which consists of three separate wings on three different levels, each with its own patio, entrance, kitchen, living room, and private bath. This design allows two or three couples, or members of a large family to enjoy their privacy, while the 'Great Room' draws people together to socialize.

HERON HILL has a large satellite dish and two "Direct TV" dishes on the property. There is a large screen HDTV in the "Great Room", and another in the front parlor. There is also a VCR in each bedroom, as well as a CD player, stereo, and extensive libraries of CD's, DVDs, and books are provided for your enjoyment.

The five acres of landscaped tropical gardens are perfect for a romantic stroll or a family nature walk.
